I've had the joy of traveling with Heather of Sonder Tours for the past five years. Each year she crafts a guided tour through a different region of Italy. This trip to Puglia was in my top two favorites. A little of the beaten path with unique history and so much beauty. Matera, the cave city, is a must see. We stayed in a spectacular cave spa hotel in Matera. In Lecce, we stayed in the former palace of Giovanni Paisiello, now a boutique hotel which accommodated our small group. Every day of the trip is a new adventure. I love traveling in the small group of six women plus our spectacular guide, Heather. It's like traveling with new friends.
